Earthstream are currently looking for an 'Authorised Person' to assist a Datacentre Construction project. You will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safe and compliant execution of electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure works within the data centre construction environment. This role requires a highly experienced professional with knowledge of high-voltage systems, data centre operations, and the regulatory standards for construction and operational safety in critical facilities

Key responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Conduct safety inspections and audits on-site to ensure adherence to safe working practices
• Monitor and control the implementation of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures during construction and maintenance activities.
• Liaise with contractors, engineers, and project managers to ensure that work progresses in alignment with project timelines and requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with the electrical and mechanical systems installation, commissioning, and operational stages.
• Maintain accurate records of all site activities, safety inspections, permits, and certifications.
• Monitor the quality of installations and ensure all works are carried out according to project specifications and industry standards

Requirements (but not limited to):

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as an Authorized Person (AP) in a critical infrastructure environment (e.g., power plants, hospitals, data centres).
• Deep understanding of electrical systems, high-voltage networks, and mechanical infrastructure specific to data centres.
• AP (Authorised Person) certification in Electrical Safety (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards applicable to data centre construction
