Offshore Mechanical Technician Earthstream are currently looking for an 'Offshore Mechanical Technician' to assist a windfarm project. This position will play a key role in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment aboard offshore wind turbines and related infrastructure. This position requires expertise in mechanical maintenance Key responsibilities (but not limited to):<ul><li>Perform routine mechanical maintenance, inspections, and repairs on wind turbine components, including gearboxes, brakes, pitch systems, hydraulic systems, and generators</li><li>Oversee and ensure compliance with manufacturers' maintenance specifications and industry standards</li><li>Assist in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of mechanical equipment and components on offshore turbines.</li><li>Ensure all installation work adheres to project timelines, budgets, and safety standards.</li><li>Communicate effectively with onshore teams regarding mechanical performance, maintenance schedules, and any technical issues encountered</li></ul> Requirements (but not limited to):<ul><li>Technical or engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ, HND, or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or related field</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a mechanical technician in an offshore or heavy industrial environment, preferably with experience in wind energy</li><li>Offshore survival and medical certifications, GWO BST</li><li>Familiarity with offshore wind turbine technologies and the specific challenges of offshore environments.</li><li>Ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, adapting to changes quickly</li></ul> Interested?If so, please apply here!
