We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA/QC Manager to lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control operations for our data centre facility in Germany. The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the entire quality management system across all stages of construction, installation, and operation to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance are maintained. This role requires strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of both the technical aspects of data centres and regulatory requirements.



Key Responsibilities:


  1. Quality Assurance & Quality Control Leadership:
  2. Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) processes for the data centre, ensuring alignment with both industry standards and company objectives.
  3. Act as the primary point of contact for all QA/QC-related issues within the data centre facility, working closely with internal teams, contractors, and third-party vendors.

  4. Quality Management Systems:
  5. Establish and maintain quality management systems (QMS) for all phases of the data centre lifecycle, including design, construction, installation, commissioning, and operations.
  6. Develop detailed quality plans, procedures, and work instructions to ensure all processes comply with the relevant standards and specifications.

  7. Inspection & Testing:
  8. Oversee the implementation of routine quality control inspections, tests, and audits across all operations and phases of the data centre.
  9. Manage the collection, analysis, and reporting of quality data, ensuring that corrective and preventive actions are taken as required.
  10. Ensure all materials, equipment, and processes meet the defined quality standards before they are used or installed in the facility.

  11. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:
  12. Ensure full compliance with German regulatory requirements and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EN 50600) related to construction, electrical, fire safety, and environmental practices in the data centre.
  13. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure certifications, inspections, and audits are completed as required by local authorities and industry bodies.

  14. Supplier and Contractor Management:
  15. Evaluate and qualify suppliers, contractors, and vendors based on quality standards and performance metrics.
  16. Conduct regular audits of suppliers and contractors to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  17. Work with procurement teams to ensure that all materials and services purchased are fit for purpose and meet quality requirements.

  18. Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions:
  19. Lead root cause analysis of quality issues or non-conformance events and develop effective corrective actions.
  20. Implement preventive measures and continuous improvement strategies to minimize the risk of quality issues reoccurring.

  21. Team Leadership & Training:
  22. Supervise, mentor, and train a team of QA/QC professionals, fostering a culture of quality and attention to detail.
  23. Provide training on quality standards, inspection processes, and the importance of maintaining high-quality work across the team and subcontractors.

  24. Reporting & Documentation:
  25. Prepare and maintain detailed QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, audit findings, non-conformance reports, and quality metrics.
  26. Regularly report on quality performance to senior management, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities for process improvements.

  27. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
  28. Ensure that quality practices align with the health, safety, and environmental policies of the data centre and applicable regulations.
  29. Ensure all QA/QC processes promote a safe working environment, actively reducing the risk of accidents, defects, and environmental impact.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in QA/QC management, with a proven track record in large-scale projects (ideally within the data centre or critical infrastructure sector).
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and relevant international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EN 50600).
  • Experience in managing quality assurance in a highly technical environment, including construction, electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructure systems.
  • Strong proficiency in quality control inspection techniques, testing, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in German and English (spoken and written).
  • Familiarity with German regulatory standards and industry codes related to data centre construction and operations.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, or similar) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software tools.
