Installation Manager (HVDC)

Role Overview:

The Installation Manager (HVDC) is responsible for managing the installation and commissioning of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems, ensuring compliance with project schedules, technical specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, project management, and site teams to deliver high-quality HVDC projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Coordination:

   • Develop and oversee installation plans for HVDC systems, including equipment, resources, and timelines.
   • Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and tools.
   • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for on-time completion of project deliverables.

2. Site Management:

   • Supervise and manage on-site activities, including installation, assembly, and commissioning of HVDC systems.
   • Monitor site conditions and ensure that all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards.
   • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain quality and adherence to project specifications.

3. Team Leadership:

   • Lead and manage installation teams, providing guidance and resolving on-site challenges.
   • Ensure workforce training and certification requirements are met for HVDC installation tasks.
   • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability among site personnel.

4. Technical Expertise:

   • Interpret and review technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications for HVDC systems.
   • Address technical queries and provide solutions to installation challenges.
   • Collaborate with design teams to suggest improvements or modifications to plans as needed.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

   • Prepare progress reports, site logs, and documentation of installation activities.
   • Track project milestones and identify potential delays or risks, reporting them to project management.
   • Ensure as-built documentation and records are accurate and complete for project handover.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
