Position Overview
As a Commissioning Manager, you will take overall responsibility for planning, coordinating, and executing the commissioning phase of renewable energy projects. You will lead the commissioning team, ensuring systems and equipment are tested and operational to meet project specifications and quality standards. This role includes both offshore and onshore assignments, with a 2-week-on/2-week-off rotational schedule applicable for offshore work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive commissioning plans and strategies in alignment with project schedules and milestones.
- Lead and oversee commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the commissioning team, providing guidance, technical expertise, and direction to ensure effective execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all commissioning-related matters, liaising with project stakeholders, contractors, and clients.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Review and approve commissioning documentation, including test plans, procedures, and performance reports.
- Oversee system testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation, ensuring operational readiness for handover to operations teams.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies across all commissioning activities.
- Provide detailed reports on commissioning progress, challenges, and resolutions to project leadership.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in commissioning management within the renewable energy, offshore wind, or related industries.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems for energy infrastructure.
- Proven ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with offshore safety protocols, certifications, and regulatory standards.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work offshore in a rotational schedule and manage onshore assignments as required.
