They are currently seeking a Cost Manager with relevant experience to support Global Engineering Capital Projects across their global facilities and infrastructure. This position will be directly responsible for cost management and overseeing the costs and cost reporting of projects through various stages.

- Have a broad understanding of the many business aspects of a project, as well as a level of technical knowledge of the project scope and content.
- Have a good understanding of the roles played by Estimating, Planning, Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, and the Project Leadership Team.
- Develop and maintain interfaces with the project team, stakeholders, partners, SMEs, and advisors to exchange information relevant to the cost management processes.
- Interface with the Estimating Team on estimate development through CAR approval.
- Have a functional responsibility to the Project Control Manager (PCM) for ensuring that cost control processes are operated in conformance with my client's procedures.
- Be responsible for implementing and operating all core Cost Manager responsibilities and processes. In doing so, they act in direct operational support of the Budget Owners who hold the delegated accountability.
- Coordinate with the Planning and Engineering teams to proactively capture deviations from the baseline.
- Provide support in the development of project cost estimates and the transition from estimate to control budget.
- Identify and establish all project interfaces (including systems) and define the protocols, responsibilities, and points of contact for administering and controlling these interfaces.
- Provide accurate and timely cost reports to Project Leadership and other stakeholders to meet corporate reporting deadlines.
- Ensure that the Engineering Partner and other contractors have proper methodologies and tools aligned with project control requirements (e.g. Application for Payment process, material trending, productivity analysis, change log, etc.).
- Establish project-level processes that support cost management requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive cost reporting (budget, commitments, value of work done, accruals, foreign exchange, estimate to complete, estimate at completion, phasing) based on internal and third-party inputs, validated by independent evaluation and integrated into overall my client reporting.
- Support Project Leadership in managing project resources and forecasting overruns or potential savings.
- Provide accurate, timely, and robust estimates and EAC reports.
- Support project change, risk, and opportunity management, particularly with cost impact calculations.
- Manage contingency drawdown and run-down in accordance with established guidelines.
- Support project close-out activities, including asset activation, commercial close-out, and benchmarking.
- Provide oversight and support to other cost engineers as needed.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent English language skills; Business-level German (minimum B2) is an advantage.
- 10 years of experience as a Cost Manager on large-scale pharmaceutical projects (>CHF 250M), ideally with EPCm organizations and experience as a client representative in the pharma industry.
- Ability to interpret complex cost data and communicate relevant insights to senior management.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with SAP, SAP Ariba, and Oracle Primavera Unifier is desirable.
- Background in working within a global project environment.
- Experience with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) contracts in pharma projects.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret large datasets and support data-driven decisions.
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments and adapting to shifting priorities.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced setting.
