Job Title: Installation Technician - Onshore Wind Farms
Location: Multiple Onshore Wind Farm Sites - Canada
Job Type: Contract, Field-Based
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Installation Technician to join our team for the installation and commissioning of wind turbines across multiple onshore wind farms in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of wind turbine components in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations. This is a field-based role that requires extensive travel and working in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and install wind turbine components, including towers, nacelles, blades, and electrical systems.
Perform pre-assembly inspections and verify all parts and tools are available before installation.
Conduct mechanical and electrical installations according to technical manuals and engineering drawings.
Work at heights to install and secure turbine components safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other technicians to ensure timely project completion.
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper turbine functionality.
Preferred Qualifications:
GWO (Global Wind Organization) certification.
Previous experience working on major wind turbine models.
