Blade Inspector QA/QC
Blade Inspector - Quality Assurance (QA) & Quality Control (QC)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Blade Inspector to join our Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) team. The Blade Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating the quality of blades. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA/QC processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in both field and manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Testing:
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of blades to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT), such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, or dye penetrant inspections, as required.
- Inspect for defects such as cracks, delaminations, and irregularities in material or manufacturing.
Quality Assurance:
- Document inspection results accurately, maintaining detailed records and reports.
- Verify that all blades comply with company quality standards, client specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Recommend corrective actions for non-conformances and follow up on their implementation.
Quality Control:
- Monitor and enforce adherence to quality control procedures during production processes.
- Participate in root cause analysis and collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
- Perform audits and spot checks to ensure consistent quality across all production batches.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to address quality concerns.
- Provide feedback to suppliers and vendors on quality performance and improvement areas.
Compliance and Standards:
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory requirements related to blade manufacturing and inspection.
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in blade inspection, QA/QC, or a related role in manufacturing, energy
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) and NDT equipment.
- Knowledge of blade manufacturing processes and common materials.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems is an advantage.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, crouch, and work in challenging environments for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in manufacturing or outdoor field settings.
