Earthstream are proud to be recruiting a Business Development Manager - Renewables for a leading industrial automation solutions provider ficusing on innovative projects across multiple industries
Job Role: Business Development Manager - Renewables
Location: Telford/Remote
Salary: Up to £100,000 plus £6k car allowance, bonus scheme & benefits
As a Business Development Manager - Renewables your remit will include:
- Present the business to potential clients through direct or digital communication
- Provide a high-quality service to potential and existing customers
- Maintain the Company's reputation as a leading-edge, systems integrator
- Responsible for generation of new leads and making suitable appointments. Motivated to ensure all sales opportunities are explored
- Travel will be a major factor and overnight stops may be required. Overseas travel can be expected from time to time
- Successful management of the sales process from lead generation, pitching the business, asking questions, pitching the solution, negotiating and closing the order through to handing over a project to the Engineering team and kick-off meeting with customer
- Prepare proposals and specifications with the full support of the Sales Applications team and in accordance with company procedures
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of issues affecting system integrator companies and the drives, digital and automation industry. Maintain an awareness of competitor activities
- Representing the business at industry events and tradeshows in order to gain new business leads and contacts
- Comply with all relevant standards and work to the Company's ISO9001 & ISO14001 registered
- To comply with all Company procedures as defined in various documents including the Quality Manual, Staff Manual and Health & Safety Manual
- Be pro-active in supporting other company activities such as supporting colleagues
- To maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers and company staff
- Other duties as required
What you will bring to the company:
- A minimum of five years' previous experience in a similar role
- A knowledge of systems integration incorporating Variable Speed Drives, PLCs, Robotics, and SCADA / HMI products, MES / MIS, Simulation, Smart solutions and autonomous mobile applications
- Proven track record in selling solutions to a variety of industrial applications
- Have established customer contacts at senior level
You should also have business development in any of the following sectors:
- CO2 capture
- CO2 transportation and storage
- H2 production
- H2 transportation
- H2 storage
- Sustainable Aviation Fuels
- Energy from Waste plants
- Wind
