Warehouse and material lead

Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced warehouse and material lead to oversee all aspects of material management, inventory control, and logistics coordination in our warehouse operations. This role is critical in ensuring the timely delivery and proper handling of materials used for construction The Material Controller / Warehouse Supervisor will coordinate with logistics, expediting, quality and construction teams to maintain smooth and efficient operations while ensuring all material handling, equipment preservation, and logistics are executed to the highest standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the logistics, expediting, quality and construction teams to ensure that incoming shipments are tracked, processed, and delivered on time, preventing any delays to the construction schedule.
• Collaborate with the teams to prioritize materials that are essential for ongoing and upcoming construction activities.
• Follow up on any delays or issues with material shipments and take proactive steps to resolve them to avoid project delays.
• Close co-operation with external and internal warehouse operators
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure that materials are delivered to the construction sites as per the project's timeline and requirements.
• Supervise and manage various laydown areas
• Follow up that internal process are followed
• Provide both short term and long term plan and coordinate with contractors with laydown usage and plan
• Provide timely and accurate reports on material availability, delivery progress, and any discrepancies between the material orders and actual deliveries.
• Communicate material requirements to the relevant teams based on construction timelines and project needs.
• Supervise and maintain accurate inventory records for both external and internal warehouses, ensuring that materials are tracked from receipt to final use.
• Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and inventory checks to ensure inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Oversee the safe and efficient storage of materials in the warehouse, ensuring materials are stored according to company procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in warehouse management, material control, and logistics, with a focus on material handling, expediting, and inventory control.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including the management of laydown areas, stock control, and material preservation.
• Experience working with procurement, construction, and expediting teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
