Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Pre-Assembly Site Manager to oversee the pre-assembly activities for wind turbine generators (WTGs) in alignment with the Employer's Requirements and project goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all work is executed according to contract specifications, project schedules, and quality standards, while also managing compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the contractor adheres to all pre-assembly Employer's Requirements and project standards.
  • Manage the execution of the pre-assembly scope, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Provide support to the WTG Fabrication and Pre-Assembly Manager in ensuring compliance with project policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Project Quality Manager to ensure that WTG quality meets project requirements and is delivered according to the agreed-upon schedule.
  • Collaborate with the WTG Transport & Installation (T&I) Manager and WTG Commissioning Manager to ensure seamless coordination between pre-assembly activities and subsequent phases of the project.
  • Oversee QA/QC processes during pre-assembly, including coordinating inspections and addressing any non-conformities or technical issues in collaboration with the contractor's engineering team and internal WTG Technical team.
  • Act as the WTG Fabrication and Pre-Assembly Manager's deputy during periods of absence, ensuring smooth continuity of work.
  • Provide daily progress reports to the Line Manager, including updates on key milestones and any issues encountered.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a site management role, preferably within the wind energy sector, with a strong focus on WTG pre-assembly or installation.
  • Proven track record in delivering and installing WTGs on similar large-scale projects.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively present in meetings and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety standards, quality standards, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements within the wind energy industry.
  • Well-organized, process-oriented, and capable of working independently or within a team as required.
  • IT literate, with the ability to quickly adapt to and fully utilize internal project management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across varying levels of seniority and cultural backgrounds.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
