Philip is a director of Key Capital Partners (KCP), the private equity fund manager that invested in EarthStream in March 2013. Before joining KCP Philip was group finance director at James Harvard International Group, a private equity backed international recruitment business that specialises in the pharmaceutical market. This business was sold to Hays plc in 2007. Previously Philip was investment director at the private equity house Baird Capital Partners Europe, where he focused on the staffing sector. Before this he was a manager in the audit and business advisory practice of PwC in London.
Through working at Baird Capital Partners and Key Capital Partners Philip has gained extensive experience of M&A transactions in the UK and beyond. Philip has been a director of seven specialist staffing groups, both publically and privately owned, so has an in depth knowledge of the sector.
Philip joined after five years as finance director with James Harvard International, a private equity backed international recruitment business that specialises in the pharmaceutical market. In his role at James Harvard International Group, Philip secured £2.5m of equity finance and completed two acquisitions of complementary staffing businesses before overseeing the sale of the business to Hays Plc in 2007 for initial consideration of £24 million. Previously Philip was Investment Director at Granville Baird (now Baird Capital Partners) where he worked closely with Owen Trotter and Mike Fell.
Philip lives in Surrey with his wife and daughter. He is a keen guitarist and most weekends he can be found tackling the Surrey Hills on his mountain bike
