Launched in 2012, EarthStream North America was positioned to support a wide spectrum of energy clients, ranging from renewable energy IPP’s to supermajor Oil & Gas producers and much in-between.
With a strong emphasis on upstream exploration & production, like many energy recruitment organisations we felt the squeeze when Oil prices tumbled from +$120 per barrel to under $50. Our diverse positioning across renewable energy producers allowed our business to continue to meet our goals in the region.
TechStream Group Managing Partner, Brett Marsh reflects on this stating “it was certainly a tough time for all our O&G business units around the world and the US was no different. Luckily, the agile nature of our business meant we could reposition rapidly and move deeper into the renewable market where we had been having great success across our European markets.” He continues “The Oil & Gas market is rebounding now and many critical projects that have been put off cannot be delayed any longer. Oil prices are at +$70 and organisations that have worked on improving efficiencies to transact profitably at a more reasonable price point are seeing the returns from this”.
It is with this in mind that EarthStream have announced the hiring of a new Talent Manager to drive their traditional Oil & Gas offering. Charles David joins us with over 6 years’ experience working the Houston market and a wealth of knowledge and connections. Coinciding with the recent acquisition of the Voyage Energy assets from their Power Generation business, this signals a significant investment by EarthStream in continuing their support of the energy market.
Charles David comments “I could not be more excited to Join EarthStream – right now is one of the most exciting periods in our lifetime for technological advancements in the production and distribution of energy. I joined EarthStream as they are well placed to capitalize on this global wave of innovation across Energy, Commodities, Engineering & Technology. EarthStream are uniquely positioned to support the digital revolution changing the energy market with ties to our sister brands [CloudStream & CyberStream]. I am looking forward to bring my expertise to EarthStream and help them deliver effective talent solutions to their customers around the world.”
With this initial investment in place and more to follow, the EarthStream team are all excited by the opportunities available in the coming months and years. Watch out for further insights from Charles as he provides comments on interesting US energy developments.
